Truman Show Response 1

I wrote a thing then turned it into a poem by pressing "enter" a bunch of times
It's called "Truman Show Response 1"

I like to stare
off into the distance.
Into far off horizons
so real that they
look like oil paintings.
When I'm looking at
those certain gleaming horizons,
they never change much.
Always the same picture
They are always perfect,
but I do not
Want to see them
for the rest of
my life. There are
other landscapes in places
that are far away
and those distant horizons
will lose their beauty
in the years that
I must stay here.

I don't really like it but, it's something to look at.

  1. I have to disagree, I like this piece very much. It's funny how you didn't really mean for it to be a poem, but by spacing it out, it really does sound nice. You have a unique style that not a lot of people in this class have, and it makes for good reading. Nice job!

  2. I agree with Sophia- this piece is really unique and flows well although poetry was not its original intention. It fits the movie well in a sad sort of way, as it was sad to see Truman live his life looking out at the same thing day after day, unable to experience the beauty of the outside world.

  3. I liked it, and the idea behind it, but i think it would improve a bit if now you went through, and took out some of the now unnecessary words out, but all in all, well done.
